Pinpointing the extraordinary in the routine; getting lost in the complexities of the many things we take for granted. Finding the common ground that connects us all.
Harvest
Everything about this Supper sung of peak season in the Northeast — from the pop of fresh cherry tomatoes to the sizzle of fresh oysters on the grill, the bright fresh flowers on the table to the colorful menu sourced almost completely from the farm, and the conversations that lingered long after the candles burned down. It was one of those lingering summer nights that nobody wants to end.
Amber
An hour outside of Portland, a seven-mile gravel road winds up a heavily forested hill before opening up to panoramic views of the Columbia Gorge. Those views were just the beginning — for dinner, we walked up into the pine canopy to dine on a treehouse platform overlooking valley views that stretched for days.
Range
On a rainy afternoon outside of Boulder, CO, our guests arrived at Little Hawk Ranch for a stunning summer Supper featuring Indian cuisine prepared by Chef Biju Thomas. Despite the wet weather, guests were greeted with warm hospitality and the inviting aromas of traditional Indian spices.
Favorite Summer Wines
Summer is officially here and we don’t know about you, but we’ve been thinking of alfresco dinners for months. We’ve been dreaming up idyllic menus and settings, picnics and ingredients and—yes, you guessed it— wine!
Harvest
There are many reasons why we love the Pacific Northwest and we feel lucky to call it home. On July 24, we packed our car and hit the road for one of the most beautiful drives, up to Victoria, BC. We stopped midway for a lunch feast at Hama Hama Oyster Co and eventually, we boarded the ferry in Port Angeles. We arrived in Victoria that evening, so energized by the beauty of the area and so ready to host our very first Supper in Canada!
