Their brand position, aligned with Secret Supper’s mission to create intentional gatherings in exceptional natural environments, opened the opportunity for a multi-faceted event and lodging collaboration with a culinary partnership to enhance the experience.
Over 60% of the audience at most Secret Suppers are out-of-state travelers who look at our brand as not only a destination dining experience, but a trusted source for travel and lifestyle recommendations.
We hosted Supper at Ventana Big Sur, but we additionally created a multi-faceted marketing campaign highlighting the resort as our recommended destination partner via our newsletter and social media before, during, and after the Supper. This strategy aligned particularly well with Ventana’s focus on a 360-degree destination experience, allowing our guests the opportunity to enjoy the property outside of the Supper, deepening their relationship with the Alila brand.

All invited Supper guests received an exclusive email discount for their stay at Alila Ventana Big Sur the weekend of the Supper. The email campaign proved overwhelmingly successful with a 90% open rate and an astonishing 70% click through rate. The resort gained exposure to a highly engaged audience with proven interest in adventure travel and luxury exploration.

Leveraging our community of art directors, event curators, and content creators, we highlighted Alila Ventana Big Sur on social media through stories, grid posts, and reels throughout the Supper and afterwards.
STRATEGIC BRAND COLLABORATIONS
We invited carefully selected brand parters to collaborate throughout the Supper, offering multiple strategic marketing tie-ins to enhance the guest experience and align Ventana Big Sur with other luxury-minded, sustainably focused brands.
Alongside Ventana Big Sur, collaborators included Rombauer Vineyards, American Lamb Board, and American Harvest Organic Vodka.
FEATURED CHEF COLLABORATION
In an effort to highlight the comprehensive hospitality offerings available at Ventana Big Sur, and our shared values of sustainability and local sourcing, we featured Chef Zachary Ladwig from The Sur House, located onsite, as our Featured Chef Partner.
Chef Zachary was able to showcase the unique culinary offerings of Ventana Big Sur through a creative, thoughtful meal for Secret Supper’s guests. The family-style format differed from the typical restaurant offerings, encouraging guests to return again throughout their stay to experience the restaurant’s cuisine on their own.
