AUSTIN, TEXAS | OCTOBER 2021
We finally made it to Texas! Every time we host a Supper, whether in Oregon, Hawaii or even in Alaska, we always have guests from Texas join our table, so hosting there had been in our bucket list for a while!
Along the river at Pedernales River Nature Park, just about an hour from Austin, we set our long table for a feast. Scroll through to discover all the details from a delightful afternoon that slowly turned into an early evening as we watched guests truly enjoy time with one another.
WELCOME
At our cocktail station, Brother’s Bond Bourbon leaned into the beautiful weather to mix an exquisite summer Collins: lemon juice, sparkling water and, of course, Brother’s Bond Bourbon!
A MENU BY CHEF MARKUS CARTER
With a great focus on locality—including lamb sourced by American Lamb Board and short ribs procured by MilkRun—Chef Markus created a delectable menu that bid farewell to end of summer produce and gave way to the bounty of early fall. From a squash pesto parmesan cracker to a pickled apple slaw salad, Markus’ menu was a resounding success!

SECRET LOCATION: PEDERNALES RIVER NATURE PARK
Although we chose to be by the river, under a stunning canopy of trees, we could have easily found more than a handful of idyllic spots for our table at Pedernales River Nature Park. The team at Lower Colorado River Authority welcomed us with open arms to this beautifully vast land with many a breathtaking view!
After hours of enjoying the most delicious food and drink, sharing stories and laughter, the evening came to an end. We had to say goodbye to our very first Supper in Texas, an experience that warmed our hearts and made us hope to be back very soon!
